I can't quote Steven Tanzer or the wine spectator, but I think in general one reviews this wine by starting with "holy shit!" For anyone who's getting jaded about California wine, poor 'em a glassa this.

Taut and bright, hardly any oak recognizable, smoke and sea spray. A baby, but very good

Rating 8.9 now, but this needs time. In 5 years I'd guess this will be significantly better, especially considering how great the 2012 was. This has more 'stuff' than even 2012, but just not ready to drink yet.

You can almost smell the acidity! That and the sea. Love the 2011 brightness.

Now this is divine. Again and again...impressed by AR. Super subtle toasty note, pretty citrus character, medium to fill body, lemon curd leading to a perfectly salty dog, green apple skin and a gracious smoky note on a long finish.
