Deep Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, smoky cedar and baking spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and ripe raspberry with toasty notes and cinnamon spice. Full-bodied, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit toasty-smoky oak and an earthy character. Nice!

Just cant resist these as they are so delicious when young and you’re waiting for the SVs to develop. Packed with ripe delicious Russian River fruit and balanced by great supporting structure. Some tea and spice notes linger in the background and would develop more if I could keep my hands off.

I could care less about anything in Wine Spectator, but it was still well deserved to see these guys on the front cover of the new issue. This is loaded with red fruit and that persistent tar note that I can’t get enough of.

Wanted open another one of these to compare to the Sonoma Coast pinot again. Very similar profiles, but where the beauty of the Sonoma Coast was how weightless yet fruit packed it is this Russian River adds a bit more texture and brings the fruit profile forward. Loaded with red fruit and a tar note that I found enticing.
