Blueberry compote and pie crust is what I get on the nose. Tooth coating (drying?) tannins on this one. Super dark and extracted flavors of blue and blackberries, with a heavy dose of oak. Spice on the long finish. This is a great full-throttled wine. I bought this in Napa and was told the back story of this wine had something to do with Russel Bevan giving them fruit from sugarloaf thus the name "borrowed jewels". Nice. Like every Argot wine I've had so far this jumps out of the glass and slaps you to be sure your paying attention. At least that's how I felt after the third glass 😆!!

Dense inky color. Mineral driven with silky tannins that grip a little on the end. Black and red fruit flavors. Well done.

A dark inky Napa Cab that has both bright cherry and dried cherry Flavors. It also shows hints of chocolate, anise, tobacco allowing this wine to linger long after the first sip. The nose accentuates dried fruit and sweet oak. The soft tannins dance on your palate beautifully balancing the heavy texture and complexity this wine displays. A great Napa Jewel!
