Big, rich and delicious. Cannonau, Bovale, Carignano and Malvasia. Herbal, layered. Oak is fully integrated. Long finish. Good grip.

2005 Isola Dei Nuraghi Turriga. Grenache from Sardinia. From Jay. Ruby color. Cherry pie with hints of vanilla on the nose together with some sweet spice and baked raisin bread. Medium bodied with red cherries on the palate. Good balance but inherently fruit forward. Good finish with some length but with a wet wood and slightly bitter finish. Will probably improve in time as the tannins soften but quite approachable now if you allow an hour in the decanter. Drink now to 2021.
