Delicious rather ripe red berries, subtle floral and earthy notes with mellow acidity, and plush tannins. The oak imparts a strong spice/vanilla aroma and flavor, perhaps a bit over the top but the fruit is lovely.

Built for the cellar, this young pinot has plenty of room to develop. It’s reserved in its youth, maybe dark and brooding like the stereotypical Pacific Northwest weather it grew up in. Air reveals dark berries, hints of evergreen and forest floor, crisp acidity and pliable tannins. Looking forward to revisiting in a few years.
