On this Saturday night I have opened another Chilean Carmenere. The 2012 Arboleda Carmenere Aconcagua Valley. I am really growing to like these Carmenere's.
On the nose there is raspberry sauce, plum, ripe strawberries, stewed prune, figs and a sultry hint of oak.
At first sip there is expressive red and dark fruit, cherry, strawberries, fig, green bell pepper I really like a lot, spices, smokey oak and wet soil.
There are medium fine tannins, medium + acidity with a crisp fresh full rounded mouthfeel that is well balanced. A beautiful expression of Carmenere and the QPR on this wine is through the the roof.
What a way to enjoy a Saturday night.

v18. Really good! Nice soft blend of crushed cherries, bell pepper and cedar nose. Fresh rich, black cherry and black berry fruits. Long, slightly astringent, soft herbal and mocha finish. Nicely balanced.
