Wonderful, but just like the last bottle, this needed time to find it’s footing. Tight and inward on opening, this needed an hour plus decant to get going. Floral and smooth.

Aug 19th, 2023Spectacular. Love it. Was strong on the nose with seemingly a sharp tone and a bit harsh on immediate open. But this mellowed nicely over the next hour. After two it was rounded, supple and velvety sweet. A harmonious balance… if a tad thick. It’s all Cab but tastes like there is Merlot involved. It’s quite dark in the glass. Opaque at center and it moves with a heaviness in the swirl. This producer is quite reliable and it provided a memorable experience. This guy is so ready for a 12 year old and I would say it has another 10 to build. Decanted over 3 hours. First rate CA cab.
