Bright purplish ruby red. Lovely nose with anise, floral, and dark red berries. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Lots of dark characteristics and sweet spices. Long and limbering finish. Drink till 2032.

My wife starts back to school tomorrow (she's a Kindergarten teacher...bless her soul), so I asked her to pick anything out of the cellar. Not in the least bit surprised at her selection as we both LOVE Aonair wines!

The Reserve cab is 100% Cabernet and 100% stellar. In comparison against the '14 Mountain Blend, this is more approachable. Not quite pop-and-pour, but close. Mix of red and purple in the glass. Lovely nose of violet, lavender, Graham cracker & crushed blackberries. Very balanced front and mid palate with a very clean and pure texture. Vanilla hits towards the back of the mid palate and then I get a brief sweet-tart/chalky finish. I enjoy every single wine that Grant Long Jr makes. (Not sure what the doggie model, Abbie, thinks of it)

Super dark ruby red with medium viscosity. Super dark nose with baking spices (especially cinnamon), herbs and dark cherries. Even a bit of dark fruits. Moderate plus tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Definite mountain fruit on the palate. Very dark on the palate, both spices and fruit. Super long finish. Drink till 2030.

This vintage is made of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from 3 different vineyards. 60% of the fruit comes from the Spring Mountain District, 20% each from Howell Mountain and Diamond Mountain District. Aged in 80% new French oak for two years, of which one year was for separate fermentation.

Beautiful dark ruby red with a purplish core. Expressive nose with dark purple flowers, blueberries, blackberries and cassis. Moderate tannins (7/10) that are silky and well integrated. Full bodied with both red and black cherries, undertones in darker fruits too. Long and lingering finish that has a slight dryness to it. Most likely from the structure and acidity from the mountain juice. Easily built to last and tons of backbone. Drink till 2031.

54 barrel edition 🤷🏼‍♂️
Didn’t need the decant that the blend did, but can’t go wrong with either one.
