From one of my personal favorite vintages of Napa (for drink-ability and consumption over the next 10+ years) I thought this underperformed.
The finish showed an austerity from wood tannins that makes me wonder if some wineries/winemakers are running on "auto-pilot" and simply HAVE to use all the new barrels they order in April/May (before they have a good clue of how the characteristics for that specific vintage will turn out...??).

I feel like I'm enjoying these 2011s. This wasn't amazing but I did appreciate the more nuanced notes.

I'm not a napa cab guy but this was nice. Cherries and tobacco with some floral notes. Not overextracted or heavy which was appreciated

Nov 27th, 2014Still a little young. Needs to be decanted at least 45 min. A big bold cab! Vanilla hints with fruit flavors. Will improve with age.
