aromas of a wild berry patch with herbs & garrigue ~ starts plush & juicy but finishes suave & elegant ~ plummy & rich w dark berries & fig, then loamy earth & tobacco for the finish

Out of this world very ripe Cabernet Franc nose. Stunning depth. Cassis, red berries and so pure and almost glossy fruit. Lovely earthy lift. Tweed jacket, moss. Tree bark but that’s the background to the incredible ripe fruit. Huge florals as well. Big time violets. Wow. 9.7 nose. Sick! Palate is deep, structured and sappy with incredible depth and cut. So so pure and lovely hit of opulence in the mid palate. Drop dead purity and stunning length. Superb tiny berry fruit intensity and killer acids and freshness. Complexity starting already. So long. A stunning wine impeccably made.

Thanksgiving 3: No notes, may have enjoyed the most. Anjou, Cab Franc, yeah.

I've never had anything like this from the Loire Valley. With the 2015 being majority Cabernet Sauvignon, it adds a complexity to the wine. Amazing wine! It reminds me of a Bordeaux with some age on it! Must try!

Herbaceous and robust dark fruit when opened and developed over time. Was very good with duck.

Rich with slight herbal notes. Nice acid and a hint of dusty tannin. It was singing after an hour.

Classic franc barnyard nose leads in to a really balanced and, true to its name, violet-infused wine. Subtle bit of VA brings tension and liveliness. Captures a pleasant 2018 warmth which isn’t typical Anjou but is nonetheless successful. Sweet, fuzzy, ripe berry extract and ripe tannins, a bit thick actually. Hope the sediment drops out more. Really close to something great here..
