Pale yellow with hints of pink and gold (somebody’s alma mater, surely). Strawberry in the nose, apple, pear in the mouth with a touch of red fruit (strawberry, raspberry) in the finish. Good acidity, fairly dry with just a tad more skin astringency than it needs. Reasonable choice here for a summer afternoon or evening

This wine is tinted a very pale pink in the glass, as one might expect from a rosé of Provence, not Sonoma. The nose presents a beautiful basket of ripe cherries and strawberries, with a smokey hint just above the glass. The acidity is nice and fresh, but not exactly razor-sharp. On the palate, the red fruit dominates, and gets a little help from a lightly tart citrus effect. The medium finish is pretty and fruity.

Only reason I didn’t give it a 10 was because it was pretty tart to me. I don’t like sweet wine but this was up there on tartness. I love how light it is.

Lightest of pinks like a white wine put in a glass after red. Applets and cotletts on the nose. Flavor is a bit bitter and slightly floral. Crisp and tart to finish. A nice little number. Would be perfect ice cold on a hot afternoon.
