Jan 22nd, 2015Excellent. Very pronounced acidity. (Maybe one of the most pronounced I have ever had, esp for a red). But balanced against bright floral and red fruit backbone. Long and evolving finish. ~$25. Definitely buy again.

Fruit forward and complex with an evolution of flavor. Black berries, rubber, underbrush, leather, mushrooms, mint, and baking spice. Needs a lot of time to open up, harmonized after 2 hours in the decanter, and was singing the next day. Really crunchy and juicy. Lots of sediment too.

Lotta sediment, earthy, mellow. Missing some pepper in a big way but it’s extremely pleasant.

Tons of dried red cherries, earth, baking spice. Medium+ intensity and acidity. Medium crunchy tannins. Long finish. Amazing.

Not bad barbera. A little acidic at first but really comes alive after awhile. Great with short ribs.
