It’s like an awkward bully of a wine. Big and dense. Teeth staining. Almost all Syrah CDR. With a lot of air it behaves. And while it’s not priced to age, I suspect a few years will do it some good.

Smells of fresh, ripe, pluot.
Cranberry sauce and rose petals, violets. Peppery and zippy. High acidity in the jolly rancher red flavor.
The tannins are strapping, and help it all work out.

Hard to believe that this is a Southern Rhône, not Northern. Dark fruits and dried meat aromas, very pleasant. Medium bodied, inky, Washington cherries, baking spices, some slate. Medium tannins and easy to drink.

Dark garnet to purple with a nose of black plum, earth and some oak. In the mouth medium+ body, fairly acidic with strong tannins and some burn down the throat.
