This is what I like...big black cherries, blackberry, blackberry compote, bell peppers, mint, leather, baking spices, and hint a vanilla with long finish...

A few fun bottles from last Friday.

Another example of a producer I seem to forget about but am always pleasantly surprised when I am able to enjoy a bottle, especially with age. These can go from good to marvelous if you give them some time! This drank like a modern style left bank Bordeaux. Black cherry and vanilla pipe tobacco, dates, plums, scorched earth and herbs de Provence on the nose. The core of this wine was so pure and powerful. The palate revealed a touch of leather alongside red and black dried fruits, fig and a rich note of espresso. Very good and getting better. Thanks

Aromas of blackberry, red currant, clove, cigar box, and subtle vanilla. Medium to full body. Big frame but nicely sculptured. Sleek acidity and candied fine tannins.
Ver well made. For a bit higher price, I would take their “Right Bank” bottling.

Tasting good with some extra bottle age for a value priced bottle.

This has been a long time favorite. We used to go to some fantastic parties at Gus Anderson’s house. This 04 still had plenty of life and dark fruit in it.

Happy birthday Jack D dinner. TTW wine of the month Jan 2019. Paul had this hidden away in his cellar. Wow, what a treat. So much like an Old World wine. Cherry w/ earth and leather. Lovely

2016 - Love it . Can’t wait to try the different offerings from Anderson Conn Valley. Drank the whole bottle and purchased another one. This is a bottle that you won be afraid to share with friends that know wine or love wine.
