Anderson Family Vineyard
Dundee Hills Pinot Noir
Bought at winery. Purple-red, light to moderately extracted pigment, very good clarity. Black currant, leather and spearmint notes in nose. Blackberry and cola-ish flavors with menthol-spearmint on finish. Light seed and skin tannins, corresponding bitterness and astringency. Cool climate flavor with great depth of flavors. Yummy-licious almost captures it. Paired exceedingly well with a baseball playoff game on TV and a wild mushroom pizza from a well-known Seattle pizzeria.

Oct 11th, 2019Bought at winery, labelled “Unsulfured”. Medium extracted purple red, very good clarity. Briar notes in nose. Tart, raspberry and blueberry flavors, some skin astringency in finish. Needs time to open. Later, cola and mint flavors emerge, with an anise aftertaste. Chewy seed tannins emerge after an hour

Dec 30th, 2018Bought at winery. Raspberry, cola and barrel notes in nose. Briar, black tea, then blueberry, blackberry and licorice flavors with length. There might be a touch of cola in the mouth as well. Crisp. Densely flavored, lovely stuff. Some bitter tannins, mild astringency in finish. Still age worthy, but drinkable now

Oct 6th, 2018Light brown red in color. Funk, phenol, cola and black tea notes in nose. Tangerine peel, black tea and caramel notes in mouth, slight prune finish. Mouth drying tannins. Interesting character for an aged Oregon Pinot, arguably past its peak, thus not to everyone's taste

Dec 28th, 2017Pleased to say this has a lot more life to live. Not this bottle though as we are about to polish it off. Juicy red fruit, and pretty well balanced. Acid showing just a tad out of balance but tannin and fruit more than make up for it. Flinty nose showing the almost graphite/pencil led, hints of rose. Palate cherry, cola, cherry cola? Fun to see how this has changed over the years.

Jan 28th, 2015Nice #wine, less rich and dark than 09, spice. Decanted and smelled like barreling down to new French wood

Nov 28th, 2014Black side of the red spectrum. One of the interesting #wine sites I've toured this year. Not sure how well this will age bust nice now
