This bottle wasn't as good as the first. Still a very good wine with red fruit and tannins but not as well balanced as others.

Apr 22nd, 2017This puppy was wound up very tightly when first opened. Once give some air I was impressed by the aromatics from the Syrah and the waves cassis from CS. The French oak gives the wine plenty of depth and complexity. Finish around 30 seconds. Massive QPR. Exactly what I was looking for compared to the softer styles on the other side of the Andes.

Ive learned from tasting this and reading. The reviews that I don't like "green, vegetal, grassy" notes. Plum and mocha? I don't pick that up. This is a no for me.

Lots of vegetation on the front to back . Something needs to happen to balance the veggies out. It's got a decent finish to it
