Better with meats than cheese. 2011 vintage held up nicely. Star anise and tar on the nose at first, more caramel as it opens up. Bright and not very tannic with taste of strawberries.

Dec 26th, 2017Really pleasant, both on the nose and the taste. Black cherries, berries and a hint of spice - a great find from the Wine Exchange (and only $16). Very purple teeth.
Edit: this one lost a bit of luster on day two, so it may be better consumed in one night.
