Godello Monterrei

Lemon and stone fruit....nice mineralality. Solid and fun...also never seen outside of Detroit, so that's weird.

Mellow citrus, cantaloupe. Second go at godello and certainly seeing the complexity it can have and Spanish white characteristics.

Crisp white fruit, lemon meringue, lite spices, silky finish.

Rating wines is a lot of work. I like Godellos. Read about this one which was being served at a restaurant in Cambridge MA so thought it would be coole to try. Got Hooke duo by Chris at RSVP and found out it was a Ned wine which is always good. This was a nice sipper ... Good for a sunny night outside if we ever get one. A little tart, mostly dry...pretty yummy

Motor city wine selection of the night.

Very good with a crabmeat perogi with a very rich sauce. The wine is sweet but the sauce put the wine in balance - enhanced the minerality, acidity and muted the fruit. Great pairing. Not a wine I would have on its own or with food that lacked a rich sauce. First time having this varietal.

Interesting. Slightly bitter and nutty
