Brings back memories of San Sebastián, even though most of the pintxo bars never pour rosé txakoli. 11.5%… higher ABV than most pours. This 2022 has a positively stronger herbaceous note than what I remember from previous vintages. But, previous wines were always with food, so drinking this solo could make all the difference. Lightly effervescent, mineral driven, tomato leaf notes with wild early-pick berries. Perfect summer cheese tray wine.

May 28th, 2023Herby green bell pepper aromas (!?), spritzy but with a bit of body, and the herbaceous notes come through on the palate too with some ripe strawberries and lime acidity. Lingering minerality. Delicious as always.
