1971 vines! Way too young to try a baby wine 12.8%. So more Cote Rôtie than Shiraz. Dark and tannic, disjointed right now. Needs to come together. On the elegant side. Violets, touch Blueberries, Olive notes. Almost Burgundy like (my kind of wine) but it has this touch of California fruit. Very well made! I am sure points will go up with age - Kudos to the young female wine maker Alice.
