Walla Walla Valley Syrah

Biiiiig! Tons of ripe fruit and oak. Delicious but you have to have food to stand up to it.

Dried meat unsmoked bacon and tight berry

Big smoky black fruit and even some beef jerky on the finish. Could use a bit of bottle age, but if previous vintages are any indication, this should be good in a couple years.

Balanced with a bit of dried meat

I was getting a bit grumpy with this wine. Thought it would readily open up. But it was tight, plenty tannins and no fruit. Decanted it. Waited an hour. Still tight, green....then, after two hours, suddenly within 15 minutes it opened up the treasure chest. Deep, earthy, spicy. It became a dark, exiting mystery ride through deep woods.

So velvety smooth. Did not decant. Maybe should have. Moderate smooth tannins. Dark stone fruits. With new leather finish.

Light smoke and berry nose. Light on the tongue. This may hd well in cellar. Good now.

Lovely Syrah with some very good acid and balanced finish

Cherry and tobacco, almost syrupy
