Jun 15th, 2013Full bodied, spicy but with silky tanin structure. 1/3 of each grape variety: CS, Sangiovese and Merlot. Aging of this wine is close to 14 month in french oak barrels. That's really interesting, because as a traditional Brunello di Montalcino winemakers, they use those wood only for this IGT Toscana. On the nose it seems to be a little bit balsamic, with some sort of the garigue notes in the background.

Mar 10th, 2017Real tight at the open, but wonderful an 1hr+ in after deanting. Great balance with homemade pasta at a friends hpuse. Brought back from Italy, making it more special here a few years later.
