Second bottle of this confirms my impression of the first: this wine has aged beautifully. Ridiculously complex nose has pear, wet Burgundian earth, toast, moist straw, a lactic note, and spice. If served blind, I’d likely place it as a premier cru from Pernand. In the mouth, it’s still fresh and youthful seeming, with a crisp feel and deep flavors. Not an ounce of fat. Really nice

Some stone fruits and citrus hiding out, a little hot, oak notes. High residual sugar finish. Ok with salmon Caesar. Still waiting for a break through California Chard...
