Lovely higher-end release from a top-notch Alto-Adige producer. This one has more toasty notes thanks to lees aging, and some riper tropical fruit notes than the standard Weissburgunder. Delicious.

Unusually ripe, tropical fruit with lovely acidity.

I had hoped for better, given the age if the vines and the low yield. Better than most everyday Italian Pinot blancs, and varietally correct -- but still unfortunately simple. Lots of appley, citrus pithy type fruit, with a nice mineral edge

lame vintage? needs time? or is Pinot bianco just always a little less than you want it to be?
