A blend of 40% Corvina Veronese, 30% Corvinone, 25% Rondinella & 5% Sangiovese, deep Ruby with aromas of dried berry fruit and earthy pepper spice. Palate full of dried blackberry and blueberry flavors with cinnamon and leathery notes, good balance, lively acid and chewy tannins. Medium finish ending with fruit and sweet spice. Nice value. A solid wine- good value. I enjoyed the silky texture and red plum notes. Additionally, by accident, I discovered this wine pairs quite nicely with a Girl Scout thin mint cookie.
