This five-year-old Ripasso look alike, is still drinking nicely, but probably passed it speak by now, so drink up if you have any. Showing a great mouthfeel with nice complexity, but not fully balanced anymore.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with stuffed Zucchini with ground beef, rice, herbs and spices.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
85 points.

Corvina 70%, Rondinella 25% and Sangiovese. This wine is made in the Ripasso method with whole partially dried grapes. Deep ruby colored with moderate aromas of cheery and plum. The tannins coat the mouth nicely without lingering with moderate acidity and a long, savory finish. Great buy right now at my local Costco.

2013 is not at a peak, but still developing. Bulgarian pepper, raisins, greens, feathers. Color of s deep and intensive. Tannins are round, acidity average+. Good quality wine but I would rather prefer drink it few years later.

Nice finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This nice red wine from the north of Italy is well balanced with nice complexity. Some even call it a baby Amarone. Shows a soft mouthfeel with nice structure, earthy nose and a fruity mid palate.
This 4 year old is drinking nicely now, but it's not going to be that fruity in a year from now.
Better after 90 minutes in a decanter. Really evolved every 20 minutes.

This Italian ripasso look alike, is pleasant and enjoyable. Good right out of the bottle and becomes earthier as it opens up. Nicely balanced with enough complexity to make it interesting to drink by itself.
Drinking very nicely now with a pleasurable mouthfeel and nice acidity.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and a good food wine as well. It has enough juice to hold it nicely for the next couple of years.
I had it with hard cheeses and nice weather by the pool.
