Fruity, floral, decent acidity, balanced, and nice finish. From a noteworthy producer in a decent year.

Found another bottle tucked away. Nice Ripasso style wine. Deep red color and elegant nose of ripe red fruit and spice, more concentrated since I had this one over a year ago. Palate full of dried berry fruits, good balance of acid and tannins. Medium finish. One of my favorites with pizza and pasta.

Kind of a carrot juice and carmelized butternut squash thing going on the nose with a raisin-fig spread on toast and dried black cherry. There is candy here too almost peanut nougat or almond paste...nice mouthfeel, slippery without being unctuous. Very cherry residue on pit, with a spine of green olives emerging through a thick curtain of black raisin. Chewy-dry finish. That keeps giving the impression of black plum wine. Pleasant.

Wow! Absolutely delicious. Ripe, cooked cherry, spice and funky reduction on the nose. Smooth tannins and super mouth filling on the palate and a unique jamminess that I love. Excellent value as well.

Drinking the 2009 tonight. Very pleasant. I’ve never experienced this particular wine before, but plan to again soon!

Fading with age and not really for the better. Structure is flat now, front of palate nearly bland. Low tannins. Maybe this is bad bottle?
