Another nice wine from this producer. All sorts of mineral and animal notes, crushed stone, beef blood and cured meat. Just textbook. Intense and so soft in the mouth. Nice acids. I do love a good Crozes, one of the greatest values in the wine world

On the lighter side. Nose has smoky crushed rock, beef jerky, and some purple berry fruit. Good acids propel this along. Medium full on the palate. A little lighter on the palate than many other 17s I’ve had.

A nose of warm raspberry pie..in a barnyard.

Dark raspberry, prune purée, decomposing foliage, black olive. This heavy hitter has a great ending with a lifted acidity and tiny grainy tannins.
Rhône valley love.

Deep ruby, Brett, roasted leaves, dusty peppercorn, bright and tart cherry and blueberry. Purple blossom, tar, and compost. Medium plus tannins, elevated acidity.

Clean black fruit/olive/peppercorn, mineral/floral finish. Drinking beautifully. Feels like what the Herve Souhat Syrah aspires to be. Paired with slow roasted short rib steak sandwich with roasted onions and black olive tapenade.

Much better than previous vintage. Notes of violet, black fruit, retro dense with animal notes. Sample.

Open and expressive. Spicy and high-toned with tart black fruit, wet clay, and black olive. Really pretty flavors with soft, elegant tannins. Ready to drink

Quite lovely! A little closed the first day, would recommend aerating at this time. Second and third days more giving in the nose. A more elegant, higher toned Crozes-Hermitage. No rustic tannins, more refined.
