VIGNO Old Vines Dry-farmed Carignane

Very cool old vine Carignan. Blue and bramble fruits. Something fun coming down the pipeline soon!

Intense flavors of violets and dried figs. Cold blue fruit and dried herbs. Solid, supple, and delicious.

The attractive nose shows black cherry, figs, cedar, mint, and touch of butterscotch. On the palate it’s intense, a bit rustic yet refined with lightly extracted dark fruits, juicy acidity, and smooth tannins, leading to a long spicy finish.

This is my first 100% Carignan bottling. Very well structured and will have a long life ahead.

Loved this wine. Fruity and well balanced, paired nicely with tomahawk-steak and bell-pepper tacos.

Incredible balance with intense blue and blackberry fruits. Slight Vanilla mid palate, fresh acidity.

Leather and herbal notes on the nose. Cherry and plum fruit and leather or tobacco on the pallet. tannic finish with soft mouth feel.
