Blend of 90% Nebbiolo & 10% Cab Franc, Nebbiolo from a newly purchased vineyard at Magliano Alfieri in the Roero, note Barbera dropped from blend. Ruby with aromas of red fruit and sweet floral scents. On the palate flavors of cherry & blackberry with cacao, licorice and spicy notes. Full tart biting tannins, medium+ finish ending with fruit and earthy mineral character.

The 2019 Langhe Nebbiolo Rosso di Rocca is a perfumed, bright red to drink now and over the next year or two, while the crushed red berry fruit and floral notes remain vibrant. This mid-weight, aromatic Langhe Nebbiolo is all charm. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, September 2021)

A beautiful garnet color, with a slight orange tinge. Cherry fruit, but dry with nice structure. 13.5% alcohol, so it feels a bit boozier than the lighter wines we tend to drink, but quite lovely. We ate it with a black eyed pea salad and ravioli with a celery leaf pesto, and it was totally up for the job.

Necessary to decant it for more than 2 hours, then we can enjoy its concentration and black currant, a bit earthy flavor Albino Rocca Rosso di Rocca Langhe Nebbiolo @, Boboli, 210311

Got a good deal on this inexpensive wine and drank it young! Tannic but with bright berry too.
