Nose is showing age. Truffley, porcini, aged mashed cherries, tar and wet earth. Really earthy, primal and feral but still well put together. Swamp-Thing in a tuxedo. Palate is silky and sweet and intermingled with those aforementioned truffles and mushrooms. But bright cherries, high acids and powdery but effusive tannins counteract the feral. Excellent.

May 29th, 2023This blows 14 away. Awesome nose of macerated cherries, sour cherries, Earth, mineral, floral, roses, tar, so so so stunning. Old school, some superb very specific Nebbiolo cherries. Palate is round and has a amazing sour cherry and early season cherry fruit. So opulent and round but amazingly fresh and dazzlingly pure. Concentrated and lithe with sweet, pure vivid tannins coated with cherry fruit and minerals. Long finish. Better in 5 years but stunning today

Palate is juicy and energetic with huge mid palate cherry fruit almost sweet tart mid season cherries and a long complex finish. Big furry and refined tannins that sweeten out on the finish staining your palate with sappy cherry fruit. Great stuff.

Concentrated and so juicy with a wonderful spherical quality and such purity. Mid season cherries and such wonderful freshness and length. Really great length. Stunner.
