Had some cigar/leather on the nose which I know may sound odd to describe Pinot but those are my words, and I am using them. Firm structure typical of this vintage (2010).

Closed for business for the first couple hours and was still slow to unwind thereafter.. Rooted in an old world style. Violets, earth, worn leather, dried black cherry, dried citrus peel and a touch of smoke.

Last time this wine was not my my favorite. Today this wine is improved which tells you Burgs are just notoriously difficult to read over time. Raspberry on the nose, dark, rough tannins however now pretty fruit alongside mostly cherry. Still it is one dimensional. Not a stellar producer 40$ at the time when bought it. I thought 2010 is a good year this should be OK. Lesson learned always stick with the best producers if you buy Burgs blind (without tasting them).

Delicious...dark cherries and Asian spice...for a 10 very drinkable...quite feminine and terroir driven

Medium garnet in color, note of lemon zest, raspberry, strawberry jam, white pepper, herbs, medium body with delicate long finish.
