Albert Grivault
Clos du Murger Meursault Chardonnay

This was funky/mushroomy on the nose at first. It then turned a bit truffled and started to match the palate with matchstick, salted popcorn kernel, and buttered toffee. Very viscous and oily. This is going to be very long lived. Thanks for opening @Mark Flesher

Jan 19th, 2019Excellent, intense purity with gobs of Meursault terroir that is salty and fresh with aromas and flavors of river stones, fresh flowers, mixed citrus and orchard fruits.

A lovely Burgundy that will benefit from a couple of additional years of cellaring

Jan 3rd, 2019Arômes bien typiques de l’appellation, du grillé, un peu citronné, pas encore beurré car un peu jeune à mon avis. Y’a de la tension.Belle acidité qui mérite d’y regoûter d’ici quelques années.

Delicious, very luscious with hints of caramel and oak (the good oak). It held its own with both a sea bass and a steak.

Jan 1st, 2018Interesting wine. Great profile. Poured a light straw color into the glass. The nose was a little funky, but had a lot of lemon zest and some butter. The entry of this wine was quite full bodied, yet finishes with a lot of acidity. This wine would certainly appease your Napa buttery chard lovers as well as your lemon/zest/high acid chard lovers. Wine finished with a little bit of pine nut. Really neat little wine, and went very well with Cambozola and gouda cheeses.
