Alban Vineyards
Reva Alban Estate Vineyard Syrah
Cork was soaked - funky smell - decanted with hopes of blowing it off - was drinkable but disappointing as I think John Alban crafts amazing Rhône like varietals and then ages for 3.5 years before release and I had two other Reva and Lorraine from same and similar vintages

Jul 1st, 2018Delicious wonderful drinking seamless. Fruits and tannins in perfect balance. Speaks quite highly to the aging capabilities of California Syrah. The only, minor, issue I lost the battle to the cork.

Jul 13th, 2019Cork wasn’t great but it didn’t effect the wine, still going strong perfect midnight black in color with the great funky nose.
Just a notch below the 2005 which had a fuller body & a nose you could smell 3ft away,
