What a good 2005! The ripeness of the sunny harvest is there, but balanced by a clean, transparent elegance and bright lengthy acidity. I am trying to get my sashimi bowl dialed in, and one thing is for sure- it is a Champagne loving dish!

Thienot’s vintage champagne always represents great value, so for a great vintage like 2008, my expectation was high.
Green apple, key lime, light brioche and floral. Clean, clean, energetic. Steely acidity. Enjoyable, but missing a bit of refinement and complexity.

Leaner style than I prefer but very well made. Apple and cities notes. An excellent vintage champagne, would like to see it in five years.

Holy smokes!! Brioche toast with butter, flint, smoked honey, wild flowers. @Gary Westby is killing it with @klwines champagne club selections! Vintage champers with this much complexity and layers. Fughettaboutit!! Nailed it.
