Another of the 12’s caught at the climax of its maturity where all the clusters, from the slightly dried red fruit profile all the way down to the savoury and damp forrest floor is well defined and represented. Elegant and carressing palate with a silky texture and a proud posture, developing through a long finish. It’s Bourgogne alright and it is whipping it, whipping it real good.

It took a while, 2 hours + in the decanter to finally bloom out. As it’s exposed it’s true inner characters and reaches its climax the wine displays a deep fruit profile backed by floral aromas, stones, damp earth, spice and a smokey mineral character. The palate was more confident from start and revealed a clue on what would come; fresh acidity, with very fine and smooth, yet tightening tannins is keeping the palate in check throughout the finish. It came out rewarding after all, but I would like to see some more expressiveness after all to score it higher.

Green Room, plastic-cup styles. Showed even better than the 02 Chambolle. With SVE and Meg, the birthday girl.
