Good wine, but alcohol influence is slightly higher than ideal.

Dark, glistening ruby. Aromas of ripe, spice-tinged dark berries, licorice and candied flowers, along with a hint of olive paste. Silky and round on the palate, offering sweet blueberry, cherry and spicecake flavors that turn livelier on the back half. Dusty tannins add grip to a long, smoke-tinged finish that strongly repeats the cherry and spice notes. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, April 2020)

Like an elegant Alain Crozes... or even Max Cornas. Gorgeous stuff right out of the bottle. Wonderful nose. Tightens a bit and then opened again the 3rd night. Obviously young to drink on release but now I know to buy a few more.

I had never had Graillot's St Joseph before. Only the Crozes. This is in pretty rarified company in St Joseph. Tons of depth and texture. Acid in front of tannins with some layered dark berry fruit. Fantastic.

Primary and grapey at first, but quickly developing a sharper note with some grip and blackberry aromas. With Robuchon's to die For Wagyu beef and Potatoes Puree at Atelier de Robuchon in Tokyo.

Very juicy right now with some oak that is on its way towards being more integrated.

Upon opening was very smoky and savory, and as it opened the fruit came forward. It was a fine match for salmon dinner. Thanks for sharing Steve!

Near perfect Syrah. Smoky, meaty, spicy and dark while maintaining freshness and bracing acid.
