A blend of 50% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas and sweet earthy spice. On the palate ripe cherry and strawberry with a touch of cinnamon spice, firm tannins, nicely balanced. Medium+ finish with toasty oak notes on the ending. Nice value. Consistent quality.

Querciabella's 2016 Mongrana is gracious and very pretty, with lovely floral and red berry character. This Sangiovese-based Maremma red blend has so much to offer. I would prefer to drink it young, while the fruit remains vibrant. Best of all the 2016 is a superb value for an estate wine. $22.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, November 2019)

Nov 11th, 2019A nice Super Tuscan... Sangiovese (50 percent) with 25 percent Cab and 25 percent Merlot. The Cab really comes through so give it some air. June 2020.

Simplicity and harmony in structure this Super Tuscany blend from the Etruscan coast drinks beautifully. Fruity yet intense with a wonderful fuller mouth feel this very approachable wine exceeds expectations on a crisp Canadian night. Cheers
