Delectable has this as Puglia. Incorrect-- it's Lazio. Cesanese is not yet an everyday name, but should be and will be. Gaglioppo, Aglianico, Nerello can all similarly balance fruit, earth, and structure. This is Mario Macciocca 2010 vintage.

Good grippy-ness with the bottle I had. A mild chalkiness that was not off-putting, enjoyed with a fungi pizze. In reverse with fried olives, the food temp oils balanced & brought out plum and some cherry fruit.
