Bought a few months ago on Garagiste (I.e close out) for less than $13 I think and damn what a deal. Savory black olive cassis and earth with dried flower perfume.

Intense nose, iodine, cassis, tar, warm moist earth, so good. Intense flavors, tannins resolved, clingy, very clingy, good acidity. Amazing with Carbonnades Flamande.

Deep purple. Roasted coffee, dark berries, and black pepper on the nose. A bit thin and hot on the palate. Blend of 99% Syrah and 1% Grenache. Another label by winemaker Pax Mahle. 15.1% ABV.

In its sweat spot. Pax Mahle does it yet again. Dry with ripe fruit on the pallet. Burnt raspberries lead the red fruit with full mouth feel and long finish. Love this juice.

Worth the hype. Taste profile isn’t for me. I think that’s a grape bias. But this has strong qualities. Acrid, grapefruit, hydrogen peroxide, dark coffee on the nose. Dark cacao beans, bark, crab apple, lamb on the palate.
