Mar de Vinas Rías Baixas Albariño

Saline and bright.

Sea spray, white flowers, lemons, and white peaches. Very fresh and bright. Crisp and minerality at start and finish, with juicy, roundness on mid palate.

Enjoyed with cod with olive and tomatoes on roasted potatoes. Became more round and peachy with the briny dish.

A glass w work lunch of homegrown tomatoe/avocado and tinned sardines.
Medium yellow color. Aromas of drupe fruits (peach/apricot). Mouth is more about peach pit with a hint of bitterness and a savory, salty element. Went better w the tomatoes than the sardines (umami harmony?)

Right off the boat and delicious already. #2016 #albariño is complex with mineral, wet stone, orchard fruits and citrus zest aromas. At once mouth-filling and refreshing.

Acid, brine and saline- gimme some blue points and saltines.

First shipment of 2013. Rounder and riper than 2012 with more creamy yellow apple custard and a hit of tropical orange fruits.

Drank with homemade fried catfish that the cousins caught at Grand last year.

Peaches, grapefruit and a hint of pineapple and lime zest. Good minerals. Tasty and excellent PQR!
