My thanks to Bryon Corbett for brining this lesser known wine last night at an amazing speakeasy in Atlanta. An Abreu cuvée with a nice complexity. Decanted for at least an hour certainly helped. It continued to develop in the glass to expose dark berry and coffee. Could still stay in the bottle for many years.

A great wine from an epic vintage. Absolutely delicious and surprisingly approachable. A fabulous showing.

03' Abreu Rothwell Hyde. Predominately CB, CF, A small percentage of Merlot & PV sourced from Madrona Ranch & Thorevilos vineyards. It certainly was a challenging vintage.

I poured myself a small glass right when it opened .... it closed up in about five minutes. You have to decant this wine for a couple of hours. This wine is in a good spot right now. Tannins are so beautifully structured throughout the wine. Black fruits are soft and elegant. I would certainly love to try this again in 3/4 years. Best 03' I've had!

Unlike Abreu's other reds this is ready to drink now with an hour or so decant. Formidable fruit yet lighter on mid palate than his other wines this is truly a gorgeous 2013 that should be enjoyed now. This shows polished notes of black cherry, cedar and mocha. Finish has length and substance despite a soft approachable mid palate

Ridiculous. Opened with the the Quilceda 11. Put the cork back in and left the bottle in the cellar for 24 hours. Could have done it with the #wawine as well. (probably for longer) Huge. 24 hours later it's the most compelling wine I've had in a bit. Graphite, non bell pepper green, the purest black fruit, Oak.
