Intense nose of dark berries, sweet spice, vanilla (oak) and smoke. Palette is equally concentrated and spicy. Round tannins, and just enough acidity to keep it refreshing. Still one of my favorite Spanish wines.

Deep purple hue with some garnet. Extraction on the glass and medium-plus tearing. Nose offers black fruit, such as fresh blackberries, black cherry, and currant notes; also molasses, clove, spice, cured meat, and vegetal notes. Tartness and acidity on the palate, lending balance. Also strong tannins with anise and dusty leather notes on the palate. RdDs are by far my favorite appellation of red wine, and this one does not disappoint. Oak, espresso, and white pepper nose. Medium to full bodied, with medium to low acidity. Plum, tobacco, tart cherries on the palate. One of the best priced RdDs around in my opinion.
