Nose of dark cherry, graphite, black pepper. After a few minutes being open, tinges of rot. Color is already going brick red with a very clear meniscus. Flavors of dark cherry, pomegranate, and spice. Acidity is very good. Finish is medium to medium short.

So here comes the Wine Spectator Top 100 wines of the year Oregon Pinot. Very solid Pinot. Nice balance, it's all there. But it makes me realize, I am just not that much of a Pinot guy.

Restrained, cool climate style Pinot with tart red fruit. Nothing special. Surprisingly a WS top 100 wine.

2011 A to Z Oregon Pinot. Inky dark cherries. Cherry cola, tobacco and cocoa. Dark flavors but not especially nuanced Pinot. Good value.
