GR 10 Garnacha Blend

4 Monos started by 4 friends from Sierra de Gredos who share a passion for winemaking and hiking. GR-10 named after a scenic hiking trail that passes through a few the vineyards. Blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Morenillo and Syrah with 50% whole cluster fermentation, pale Ruby with aromas of red fruits, spice and floral notes. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry and strawberry with some earthy tobacco notes. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with fruit and pronounced earthy character.

Yoplait mixed berry yogurt.

Mountain grenache, fresh & mineral, like a stream. Bright fruit, medium acidity. Tannic undergirding takes this above glou glou level. Well-integrated and very lovely.

At Baravins with Travis and Calli

Ripe and underripe strawberry. More new world like. Some minerality.

4 Monos entry-level, village wine. Blend of Grenache (70%), Carignan (20%) and Syrah (10%) from different vineyards in Cadalso de los Vidrios, Cenicientos and San Martin de Valdeiglesias in the Sierra de Gredos mountain range, 85km west of Madrid. Aged in oak, concrete and steel vats. Pale cherry color. Bright, juicy, reminiscent of Pinot Noir with notes of red fruit (cherries, berries) and minerals. Lively, very easy to drink.

Light fruit smooth tannin

Light red , fruity, elegant, Pinot noir like, cherries, cranberries, mild tannins and spice.

Almost closer to a Pinot noir than a Grenache except for the high abv. Cherry. Bit of raspberry zip. Lingers for quite a while. Medium plus acidity and a chalky backbone. Finishes with a faint tobacco note.
