Tasted at the winery, but this has put on weight since then. Beautifully complex on the nose and palate. Sweet, rich and dense, with a squeaky clean fruit profile. This will sail on for many more years in the cellar.

Jan 1st, 2021Considering this Bdx blend hails from a cool climate, this is excellent. Bright and tense, yet moderated by precise fruit and tannins.

Feb 19th, 2018Beautifully aromatic nose of both red and black fruit, vanilla, mushroom, perfume and Violet. M acid and body. M+ silky tannins. Long finish. Elegant and very classy. Great wine for a great price.

Nov 26th, 2016This beguiling blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot hails from Seven Hills Vineyard in Walla Walla—an interesting fruit trade between Trisaetum and Leonetti Cellars' Chris Figgins. 1841 brings to the table classic Walla Walla Valley comportment. Restrained and yet heady, with notes of blackberry coulis, black currant, graphite, anise, and violets. Don't let the 14.7% ABV deter you, the alcohol, like the oak is well integrated and as a final touch it proffers cola and spice on a rather satiny and lengthy finish. Sample
