Blackberries & black cherries with some cigarbox, thyme, black peppercorns and black tea essence. Plus a whiff of exotic (sandalwood?).
Strong (yet polished) tannins, high acidity and noticeable alcohol - yet after 11y this mix has created a very intriguing, complex and highly drinkable wine. Superb, though probably not everybody’s cup of tea.

Perfect combo of ripe peach & pear with a touch of lemon & hazelnut and a dollop of honey. With a delicious salty twist at the end.
Pass on the escargots!

An amazing wine from 80y old, ungrafted vines, spontaneously fermented. White peaches & herbs, with a whiff of Mediterranean shrub & pine wood in the hot sun. Quite broad on the nose, on the palate unmistakably volcanic, tightly wound around a core of mineral acidity, with some bitter almond in the finish and lovely salinity. The wood gives a nice backdrop to the wine’s structure. This is soo good!

Medium bodied, with sharp acidity. Peaches & salt. Hard to beat this with a fresh dorada. Gotta love those volcanoes!

Seducing, playful, tense yet full of fruit. Spicy peaches & lemon juice and some smokey flint on the palate. Rich with flavour yet razor sharp & bone dry. Beautiful.

Rich golden in could and equally rich in aromas. Layered, multifaceted and nuanced with ripe peach, buckwheat honey and candied lemon zest. All this in a cloud of additional aromas that change from nettle, through peppermint up to slate and flint. This is not unlike a really good, fully dry Gewürztraminer, just w/o the rose water. Concentrated yet balanced with exceptional length. A brilliant wine.

Juicy fruitiness (white peach & a touch of lemon) well paired with great precision & balance and flinty minerality. Long, layered, delicious and far from obvious.

The one wine, where the complete absence of fruit is an asset. Like licking wet, salty stones on a beach. Fantastic!

Riesling meets Bollinger.
Green apple, ripe lime & some elderflower. Juicy acidity and a very long, creamy finish. Very fine.

Rich golden in colour yet vinified to bone dry. Spicy apples, Mirabelle plums and a bit of pear. On the palate tightly wound around the core of juicy acidity with great depth & purity of fruit and ending with a mineral finish and a dash of salinity. This is quite unusual for a PG from Alsace but truly delicious.
Worked magic with a pan-fried skate in brown butter.
