Leaning forward with blackberry fruit, violets, black slate, some leather and earth on the nose of this #dolcettodalba. It definitely stretches out nicely after a day or two post-uncorking in the wine fridge. Medium body with more pronounced acidity than expected for the varietal, bit thin in mid-palate but definitely not shy on the tannic finish though they are well-managed. Choice QPR here at Total Wine for ~$9 with volume discounts. — 3 years ago

Inky purple color. After and aeration and decanting the nose gave me raisins and chocolate. The palate is fruit forward with black plums with notes of chocolate in the finish. It’s good with baked ziti with meat sauce. — 4 years ago
