Immich-Batterieberg

C.A.I. Riesling 2013

Immich-Batterieberg is one of the oldest wineries in the Mosel traced back to the year 911. In 1495, the Immich family purchased the property, producing traditional dry and off-dry wines under their name for almost 500 years. 80% of the vines are un-grafted and over 60 years old, and everything is worked organically (though not certified).

La Clarine Farm

Sierra Foothills FNA Fiano Arneis 2014

A deliciously crisp and aromatic white from a couple of true vanguards. La Clarine Farm is the two-person team of @Hank Beckmeyer & Caroline Hoël located at 2600 feet elevation in California’s Sierra Nevada Foothills. They age their wine in neutral containers, never in new oak, and let the wine develop without additions or excessive racking.

Foradori

Granato Teroldego 2011

It’s easy to say, in this case, the grape does not fall far from the vine or the hand that cultivated it. Foradori - immediately striking, gracefully elegant, discerningly tasteful, soberly serious while at the same time wry and playful, and above all always generous and sincere. These same words aptly describe her wines.

Broc Cellars

Vine Starr Sonoma County Zinfandel 2014

Throw out everything you thought you new about California Zinfandel. @Chris Brockway's rendition is lean, herbaceous and intoxicatingly aromatic. Broc Cellars began simply with an idea about making wines that were "site specific," one that endures today in practice by using minimal intervention in an effort to let the grapes speak for themselves.

Emidio Pepe

Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2003

Emidio Pepe is legendarys for his unique and amazingly complex age worthy wines. Though the family has been producing wines here since the end of the 19th Century, and the winemaking regime at Pepe follows an uber-natural and artisinal path as well. Grapes are grown biodynamically, hand-harvested, hand-destemmed, naturally fermented and aged 18-24 months in glass-lined tanks.
