#17

Atlas Bear

Chenin Blanc 2019

Advent #17 has strong apple notes with a lingering tart finish in my jaw, on the fence about rebuy. I liked other whites better in the Advent series. — 3 years ago

Bodegas Volver

Tarima Hill Old Vines Alicante Monastrell

Spectator named it #17 best wine of 2017 and gave it a 92. I have found ws to be a little unreliable but 92 is my grade also. It’s jammy, complex, light but meaty. A tremendous value and another winner from Spain. My local retailer is having trouble keeping it stocked it seems since the ws accolades. — 6 years ago

Storm Wines (South Africa)

Vrede Pinot Noir 2015

Cellar raid #17 - a Storm is a brewin! Lovely buoyant effortless SA PN, clearly a light hand in the cellar (probably not enough new French oak for @Scott Petrus ) — 2 years ago

Reserve Meritage Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2017

AEL
8.7

This is good. Give these guys credit for making a blend that doesn't bash you over the head. Lemon, cinnamon, spices on the nose, with a soft, round feel. Slightly too sweet. Pandemic bottle #17. — 4 years ago

Conte Fini

Valdadige Pinot Grigio 2015

Wine #17 for our Advent Calendar. 2015 Pinot Grigio. Nice crisp nose. Light body, light, bright fruit. Really good. — 7 years ago

Venteux

Cotes de Gascogne White Blend 2020

Wine Advent(ure) #17. Not a lot on the nose but a big body for a dry white. Smooth with a long finish. — 2 years ago

Bodegas Volver

Tarima Hill Old Vines Alicante Monastrell

#17 overall wine for 2017 and solid value. Drink it and then drink again. — 6 years ago
